KaChing! Pal

Pop-up Notification of PayPal Payments

KaChing! Pal is a tray app for Microsoft Windows which will pop up with a Ka-Ching! noise and a little notification message to alert you whenever a payment is made into your PayPal account.

It does not need to know your PayPal password so there is no chance that I or anyone else can steal money from your account. It uses the PayPal Instant Payment Notification service.

How to set it up

  1. Sign up for an KaChingPal account and pay just $1.00 for a six month subscription.
  2. Log into your PayPal account and set the Instant Payment Notification address to http://kachingpal.com/ipn.php (click here for instructions).
  3. Download and install the tray app. Microsoft Windows is the only supported platform at this time but I hope to eventually make a Mac, Linux and iPhone version.

I'd love to hear what you think of this service. Have you tried it? Do you like it? Is there anything you would like me to change? Why not drop me an email with your views at adam@siliconsparrow.com
